Mar 04, 2012  Just a dash ' - '. What does this mean? That I don't have an internet connection? It appears that I do. I can use a browser and get out easily. When this happens, I'm unable to connect as a client or as a server. I restart TeamViewer, and get the same thing. I reboot the Mac and get the same thing. Using 'recommended' proxy settings. Mar 21, 2015  I have recently installed updates for my computer and not sure if that has anything to do with it, however now I cannot connect onto Teamviewer - it just says connecting and nothing happens past that point, then the program freezes and I have to Force Quit Teamviewer. I tried reinstalling Teamviewer several times but still no luck.

I am going on a vacation soon and need to access my iMac for I have files stored on it. But here's where my problem starts. My Mac will have no problem connecting to my Windows laptop. It's only when the laptop tries to connect to the iMac it has a problem. I have been able to connect to the iMac only a twice: once from the laptop and once from my iPod; and then it refused all incoming connections. I don't know if this is a firewall issue or what. I doubt it is, though, because my firewall is off. Both the iMac and the laptop say 'awaiting authentication' but never gets past it. All help is appreciated.
P.S. I just posted it here because to me it seems like a hardware problem.
